Wiring Notes

A DisplayPort 1.4 cable transmits digital video and audio from a source device (such as a computer or graphics card) to a display using four high-speed data lanes. These lanes carry encoded data with a total bandwidth of up to 32.4Gbps, allowing support for high resolutions like 4K at high refresh rates and 8K at 60Hz. The display then decodes the signal and converts it into the image shown on the screen.
