Low Profile Male XLR to 6.35mm Balanced Jack Cable - FOX TWO Mini, Neutrik and Squareplug

Low profile without compromise

Standard connectors are great until they're wedged behind a rack, sticking out of a pedalboard or fighting for space with everything around them.

This build keeps things compact at both ends. The low-profile XLR reduces the space needed at the XLR connection, while the Squareplug SP550-SBK keeps the 6.35mm jack end seriously tidy.

Then there's the cable in the middle. FOX TWO Mini is slim and highly flexible, so the finished assembly naturally follows the route you give it rather than trying to straighten itself back out again.

Why FOX TWO Mini?

Because putting chunky, stiff cable between two low-profile connectors rather defeats the point.

FOX TWO Mini is particularly well suited to compact builds thanks to its small overall diameter and high flexibility. It's easy to dress around equipment, route through crowded racks and tuck into spaces where a heavier cable becomes a nuisance.

Small doesn't mean we've skimped on the important bits either. FOX TWO Mini uses silver-plated copper conductors with a braided tinned-copper screen, giving us the construction we want for balanced analogue audio in a much more manageable package.

What is this cable used for?

It's a standard balanced Male XLR to 6.35mm TRS Jack cable – just considerably less cumbersome.

It's ideal for audio interfaces, mixers, studio equipment, racks, pedalboards and other balanced audio gear where connector clearance and cable flexibility matter.

It's also a cracking choice if you simply hate having enormous connectors and loops of stiff cable hanging out of otherwise tidy equipment. We get it.

Performance & Build Quality

This is a properly compact assembly from end to end. The low-profile Neutrik XLR and Squareplug TRS keep the connectors tucked in close, while highly flexible FOX TWO Mini keeps the cable easy to route without putting unnecessary leverage on your equipment sockets.

Small and flexible, yes. Flimsy, no. We're using proper Neutrik and Squareplug connectors with a screened FOX TWO Mini cable to make something genuinely compact without turning it into a disposable patch lead.

Each cable is built by us in the UK and individually tested before it leaves the workshop.

FAQ

Is this cable balanced?
Yes. It's wired for standard balanced analogue audio between the 3-pin Male XLR and 6.35mm TRS Jack.

What's the advantage of the low-profile connectors?
Less connector sticking out of your equipment. They're particularly useful behind racks, around pedalboards and anywhere a normal XLR or jack takes up more room than you'd like.

Why use FOX TWO Mini?
It's slim and highly flexible, which makes it an excellent match for low-profile connectors. There's not much point fitting tiny connectors and then hanging a garden hose between them.
