A moulded UK plug on Titanex H07RN-F. It sounds like something that should already be easy to buy. Strangely, it isn't.
We wanted the flexibility and durability of Titanex H07RN-F without fitting a conventional rewireable plug to the end, so we had a fused UK plug moulded directly onto the cable.
The other end is left bare, giving you a ready-made mains input tail for equipment, power supplies and custom builds where the cable will be terminated directly into the equipment.
Why a moulded plug?
The practical advantage is that the supply end is already taken care of. There are no user-accessible terminals or separately assembled cord grip, and the moulded cable entry provides integrated strain relief while the fuse remains accessible for checking and replacement.
It also makes routine inspection simpler. The moulded plug doesn't need to be dismantled during the formal visual inspection, so you're not repeatedly opening and reassembling the mains termination.
Why Titanex?
Titanex H07RN-F is the sort of mains cable we're used to seeing around event production, AV, lighting and equipment that gets moved regularly. It's flexible, handles well and makes more sense for these jobs than ordinary appliance flex.
This version uses 3G1.5mm² Titanex, with brown, blue and green/yellow conductors left bare at the equipment end for termination.
Is this the right cable?
If you're building or repairing equipment that needs a captive three-core UK mains input, this gives you the plug and flexible mains cable as one finished assembly.
If the cable is going into equipment that rarely moves, ordinary mains flex may be perfectly adequate. And if you're working with compatible EV charging equipment that requires a pilot conductor and plug temperature sensing, choose our dedicated EV version instead.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a moulded plug make PAT testing easier?
It can make the inspection process simpler. Unlike a rewireable plug, the moulded plug doesn't need to be dismantled during the formal visual inspection, while the fuse remains accessible for checking or replacement.
Do I actually need Titanex H07RN-F?
Not always. If the cable will sit permanently behind a piece of equipment, ordinary mains flex may do the job perfectly well. Titanex makes more sense when the cable is regularly moved or handled.
