Wiring Notes
So how do balanced cables work? A balanced cable carries audio using two signal wires plus a ground. One wire carries the normal signal, the other carries an inverted copy of it. Any electrical noise picked up along the cable affects both wires equally. At the receiving end, the inverted signal is flipped back and combined with the original. This cancels out the noise while keeping the audio intact. The result is a cleaner signal with reduced hum and interference, especially over longer cable runs.
