Wiring Notes
This cable follows the standard 4-pin XLR DC power wiring convention commonly used in broadcast and professional video equipment. All 4 pins are wired, and are 'pin to pin'.
Why Fox 4 core cable?
The lead is constructed using FOX 4cDC 4-core 0.75 mm² cable, featuring stranded copper conductors and a tough matte-black TPU outer jacket designed for flexibility and resistance to abrasion, oils, salt water and environmental exposure. With its UV-stable polyurethane jacket, the cable remains flexible while offering strong resistance to ageing, weathering and mechanical wear.
Why Neutrik Connectors?
At each end are genuine Neutrik NC4FXX-BAG (female) and NC4MXX-BAG (male) connectors. These professional XX-series XLR connectors feature robust die-cast housings, silver-plated contacts and Neutrik’s reliable latch-locking mechanism for secure connections in demanding applications. Each contact is rated up to 7.5 A with <50 V operation, making them ideal for low-voltage DC power distribution commonly used in broadcast, camera and professional AV systems.
