This LC-ST OM2 fibre optic patch cable is designed for consistent short to medium distance data transmission. The duplex construction supports simultaneous sending and receiving of signals, while the LSZH jacket makes it suitable for use in enclosed or public environments where safety is a priority.
Wiring Notes
This fibre optic cable transmits data as pulses of light through two internal glass fibres, rather than electrical signals. A device at one end converts data into light, which travels along the fibre core and is then converted back into data at the other end. The duplex design allows simultaneous sending and receiving of signals, while the OM2 multimode fibre supports reliable short to medium distance connections. The LC to ST connectors enable compatibility between modern high-density equipment and older fibre network interfaces.
